Over the past few months I've been putting together a computer that I wanted to donate either to an after school program, a day care center, or something that helps children learn. The problem is, I don't know who and I don't know where to start. I spend about $500 including a new 19" Monitor, new mouse and keyboard, and other good parts. And no, I don't want a tax exempt form, I just want to donate it. If I wanted tax credit then it would not be a donation. Just yesterday, I put it to the test and it works just fine, I even installed Microsoft Office 2007. In case your wondering, I live in Moreno Valley, CA, but I'll drive 100 miles if I have to so I can donate the computer. I was going to give it to one family, but I figured a children learning program would make better use of it. Keep in mind, I don't want to donate this to a program who already has this stuff, I want to give it to one that doesn't, that way they would deserve it and appreciate it more. And if you want to know the specs, here they are; MSI MS-7548 Windows Vista 64 bit 4 GB RAM (yes its a lot) AMD Athalon x2 2.6 Ghz Western Digital 320 GB Nvidia GeForce GTS 210 512 MB (in case they play some games).
